How much is required to secure a booking?

100% deposit is needed to secure a reservation.

What is the cost of Port fee?

The Port fee is 10%.

Am I required to get a fishing license?

Yes, unless you have one already. Some trips may require additional paperwork.

Is fishing equipment included on the trip?

Yes, we provide fishing equipment but you are welcome to bring your own.

What is required to book a charter?

All cancellations received more than 3 days prior to the trip will get a full deposit refund.

Cancellations received 3 days or less will receive a 50% deposit refund. No refunds will be given to customers who do not show up on the day of the trip.

Weather cancellations are under the captain's discretion. If the charter company or the captain cancels the trip due to bad weather, the customer will get a full refund or reschedule if possible.

San Diego Charters does not refund seasickness issues. Should you decide to cut short the trip because of seasickness, you will still be charged in full. If you are prone to motion sickness, we suggest you take a seasickness pill 1-hour to 30-min before the trip.

Do I need to bring food and drinks?

We provide snacks, soft drinks, and water. Feel free to bring additional food and drinks especially for long trips.

Do you provide live bait?

Yes, we provide live bait as well as lures for the trip.

Do you have other activities aside from fishing?

Yes, we do. We also offer bay cruises and sunset cruises.

Do you provide other services?

The availability of fish cleaning services may vary upon the trip type and scheduling or may depend on the proximity of Local Fishing processing companies to our location. We fillet on certain trips. Please coordinate with us to confirm.
